Job summary

QXO is seeking an Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse, yard, inventory, shipping and receiving activities, ensuring safety, efficiency, organization and customer focus.

You will work with Sales, Purchasing, Transportation, Shop and branch leadership to optimize materials flow, staffing, equipment, and process improvements, mentoring a hands-on team and upholding high standards for safety and service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in warehouse, distribution, operations, or related field.
• Experience leading warehouse or operational teams.
• Strong safety and OSHA awareness.
• Ability to manage inventory, shipping/receiving, and workflow.
• Proficiency with computers and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily warehouse and yard operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material flow.
• Oversee picking, staging, receiving, loading, and movement of materials.
• Coordinate inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure shipping/receiving priorities meet customer expectations.
• Coach and develop warehouse staff and manage scheduling.
• Maintain safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Manage fleet and facility maintenance coordination.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardized workflows.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, Transportation, and branch leadership.
• Support processing of orders and customer service issues.
