Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Phoenix, AZ

About The Job

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and accurately. This includes managing staff, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating shipments and deliveries, and ensuring compliance with all warehouse policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position directly supervises Department Managers and indirectly manages the entire team within the area of responsibility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Develop and implement processes to ensure all warehouse activities are performed efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize storage space and minimize stock shortages.
• Coordinate and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of equipment and handling of hazardous materials.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics and implement strategies to improve performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.
• Ensure compliance with all warehouse policies and procedures and maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and late nights, as required.
• Ability to partner and establish strong working relationships with departments that support the overall operation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.

• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.

Education and Experience

• At least five years of experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and personnel management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Warehouse management system (WMS) experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck (PIT) experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to access and navigate all areas of the facility.
• Ability to access all parts of company equipment.

Compensation

$70,000 – 85,000 per year

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
