Job summary

TriMark USA in Bedford Park, IL is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our Bedford Park distribution center. You will plan, direct, and coordinate transportation, storage, and distribution activities to meet customer needs while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will supervise 20+ staff, manage shipping/receiving, maintain inventory accuracy, and drive continuous improvement. This in‑office role requires leadership, strong communication, and hands‑on operation of warehouse systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent.
  • 6–8 years of distribution management experience.
  • Proven track record of improving productivity and efficiency in a distribution facility.
  • Clean driving record and ability to be insured for delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities of 20+ employees (supervisors, handlers, shippers, receivers).
  • Oversee shipping and receiving operations for timely, accurate orders.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and perform regular audits.
  • Lead safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate distribution and logistics (UPS, truckload, LTL, contracted services).
  • Maintain clean, secure, and well-organized facilities.
  • Provide support to internal sales and end customers; foster teamwork.
  • Communicate with leadership to drive performance improvements.

Position Summary
  • The Warehouse Manager reports to the Senior Warehouse Manager
  • Located in Bedford Park, Illinois
  • Full-Time

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution activities at our Bedford Park distribution center. This critical role ensures compliance with organizational policies, government regulations, and safety standards, while optimizing warehouse operations to meet customer needs. The Warehouse Manager leads a team of employees, oversees shipping and receiving, manages inventory accuracy, and maintains facility cleanliness and security.

Team Management
  • Direct daily activities of over 20 employees, including supervisors, material handlers, shippers, and receivers.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide training, and ensure cross-training of personnel.
Shipping And Receiving Management
  • Manage all aspects of shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and perform regular audits to reconcile discrepancies.
Safety And Compliance
  • Execute safety initiatives, including safety committee participation, forklift safety, and HAZMAT procedures.
  • Implement warehouse policies and procedures consistently to maintain compliance with regulations.
Logistics Coordination
  • Oversee distribution and logistics activities, including UPS, truck load, LTL, and contracted delivery services.
  • Identify and address sales or purchasing issues to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Facility Maintenance
  • Maintain warehouse facilities to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and security.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance and repairs as needed to ensure optimal functionality.
Customer Service
  • Foster a customer service-oriented culture, providing support to internal sales personnel and end customers.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Leadership And Communication
  • Promote good morale and a positive attitude among team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the Director of Operations, General Manager, and other stakeholders to address issues and drive improvement initiatives.
Competencies
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including weekends, as needed to ensure timely project completion.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with experience motivating and directing staff.
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems, scanning technology, and ERP systems.
  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving functions and Microsoft Office software.
Qualifications & Experience
  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in distribution management.
  • Proven track record of improving productivity and efficiency in a distribution facility.
  • Clean driving record and ability to be insured for delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Compensation includes the posted base salary range and does not reflect potential commission, incentive, bonus, or other additional compensation opportunities, where applicable. Total compensation is determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, geographic location, and other job-related compensatory factors.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
