Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. in Hammond, IN is seeking a Warehouse Leader to oversee branch warehouse operations, including logistics, inventory, security, safety and equipment. Occasional delivery driver duties are required.

You will supervise loading/unloading, packing, shipping, and receiving; ensure accurate customer service; maintain a safe, clean, and compliant warehouse; and drive cycle counts and DOT/hazardous material shipping compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory warehouse role.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Operate and maneuver pallet jacks, forklifts and related equipment safely.
• Comfort using warehouse computer systems and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of employees engaged in loading, unloading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving and transportation of merchandise.
• Supervise incoming and outgoing shipment activity to ensure timely customer service.
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly warehouse operations and perform daily safety inspections.
• Maintain security of merchandise and equipment; participate in loss prevention programs and daily cycle counts.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and hazardous material shipping requirements.
