Job summary

RemX | The Workforce Experts in Detroit is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, drive performance, and develop teams in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will oversee safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction while implementing continuous improvement initiatives and analyzing KPIs to guide performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics or related field.
• 2–5 years of leadership experience in warehouse/logistics environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and team development skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, WMS, and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management and material flow.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and hourly team members.
• Ensure staffing levels and effective workforce planning.
• Monitor productivity, quality, inventory accuracy, and safety metrics.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs.
• Analyze data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Prepare and communicate performance reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
