Job summary

Smithfield Foods is hiring a Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee daily warehouse activities in our Kansas production facility. The role coordinates packaging and manufacturing materials, ensures accurate SAP receipts, and maintains inventory integrity to support continuous production.

You will use Excel and tracking tools to log inventory, monitor shortages, and support audits while collaborating with plant leadership and the Corporate Buyer.

Qualifications

• Production warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP inventory transactions and PO receipts.
• Strong Excel skills for tracking, auditing, and reporting.
• Knowledge of ingredient and packaging material control, FIFO, and lot traceability.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Effective communication and issue escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks related to packaging and manufacturing materials to keep production supplied on time.
• Perform and verify SAP transactions including PO receipts and inventory movements.
• Conduct routine audits of inventory, location accuracy, FIFO compliance, and lot traceability.
• Assist with supplier coordination, receiving inspections, and QA requirements.
