Job summary

Tremco Construction Products Group in Columbus, GA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee ordering, receiving, storing, and shipping materials in a busy stockroom and yard.

You will lead a team, schedule inventories, enforce procedures, and drive accuracy and efficiency. Candidates should have at least 3 years in warehousing, experience with lean practices, and familiarity with SAP; a high school diploma is required. Health benefits and 401(k) are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Experience managing people in a fast moving and time sensitive environment.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma preferred.
• Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan layout of stockroom, warehouse, and storage areas.
• Advise employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and equipment.
• Study records and recommend remedial actions for non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock.
• Review records for accuracy of information and compliance with procedures; determine stock levels.
• Schedule work for inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
• Issue written and oral instructions; assign duties and inspect work.
• Prepare composite reports from subordinates’ reports; adjust errors and complaints.
