Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank seeks a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations to oversee daily DC facility activities, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, order picking, packing and shipping.

You will lead, coach and develop warehouse associates, monitor KPIs, ensure food safety and OSHA compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to maintain inventory accuracy and service levels in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in warehouse/distribution; at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Lead, coach, develop teams and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, food safety; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations (receiving, put-away, replenishment, inventory control, order picking, packing, shipping, agency pickup).
• Lead, coach, and develop associates to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Monitor workflow, labor allocation, and staffing to maximize productivity.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, food safety, GMPs, OSHA, and company policies.
• Track KPIs (inventory accuracy, throughput, order accuracy, fill rate, dock-to-stock).
• Coordinate with Inventory, Transportation, Facilities, and HR for seamless operations.
