Job summary

Capital Area Food Bank in Washington, DC is seeking a Supervisor, Warehouse Operations (DC Facility) to lead daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, and order fulfillment.

You will coach staff, monitor KPIs, ensure food safety and OSHA compliance, and partner with cross‑functional teams to maintain inventory accuracy and service levels at our DC distribution center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years in warehouse, distribution, or logistics with supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of WMS systems and safe warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations at the DC facility, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.
• Monitor workflow, labor allocation, and KPIs; ensure inventory accuracy and on-time performance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, GMP, food safety, and company SOPs; coordinate cross-functional priorities.
• Prepare reports, conduct safety meetings, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
