ODW Logistics, Inc. in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is seeking a Second Shift Warehouse Operations Lead to oversee distribution center logistics, supervise the warehousing team, and support loading/unloading while maintaining safety and quality. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and proven experience in warehouse operations and forklift handling.

The position runs 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of previous Operations Lead experience in a distribution center.
• 3 years of forklift experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Warehouse Management System experience.
• Hands-on, able to lead teams to safety, productivity and quality goals.
• Able to excel in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Protect inventory integrity and salability through SOPs and cycle counts.
• Directs appropriate warehousing team.
• Runs reports to maximize building capacity.
• Completes inbound and outbound documentation.
• Reads and prepares written reports.
• Uses warehouse management system and time keeping system.
• Handles products per procedures.
• Communicates changes in handling procedures to office.
• Supports safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
• Interacts with local management concerning daily activities.

Description

ODW Logistics is a people-focused and customer-driven third-party logistics (3PL) provider committed to delivering seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions. Our extensive range of services include supply chain design and innovation, warehousing, efficient distribution and fulfillment, freight brokerage, transportation management, and specialized e-com.

The 2nd shift Warehouse Operations Lead directs the logistics efforts of the distribution center and assists with loading and unloading product in the warehouse and performing other material handling operations as needed.

Hours 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 am.

Essential Functions for Warehouse Operations Lead

• Protects the accuracy, integrity, and salability of our client's inventory entrusted to us, through the adherence to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations.
• Directs appropriate warehousing team.
• Runs all necessary reports to determine effective action to maximize building capacity.
• Completes all required documentation on inbound and outbound documents.
• Reads and understands general instructions and prepare written reports.
• Understands and uses company’s warehouse management system, and our time keeping system.
• Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
• Communicates changes in extraordinary handling procedures to office personnel. Completes warehouse worksheet.
• Communicates and advises Supervisor of operational issues that may involve other departments.
• Understands company goals and works to create an environment for success.
• Supports company safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
• Interacts with various levels of local management concerning daily activities.
• Complies with all other procedures outlined in the Operations & Procedure Manual.
• Communicates effectively with Transportation, Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• 1 year of previous Operations Lead experience in a distribution center.
• 3 years of Forklift experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Warehouse Management System experience.
• Must be able to excel in a team-oriented environment and be comfortable leading teams to achieve safety, productivity and quality goals.
• Must be "hands on", able to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
