Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; related experience welcome.
• Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent East Coast Metal Distributors with a clean, company provided uniform.
• Assist counter sales orders and greet customers.
• Validate items and quantities on pick tickets and transfer requests, initialing and dating.
• Notify Warehouse Manager of discrepancies in shipments.
• Unloads incoming inventory and verifies items against Vendor Packing Lists.
• Prepare packing lists for warehouse inventory entry and integrate shipments.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and maintain a clean warehouse.
• Becomes certified in Fork Truck Safety and Operations.
• Report injuries and observe safety procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
