Job summary

Union Beer Distributors in Secaucus, NJ is seeking an Operations Coverage Supervisor/Leadership Trainee to provide supervisory coverage across warehouse functions and support day, afternoon, and night operations. This full-time, on-site role involves directing hourly teams, balancing workloads, and using warehouse systems to monitor inventory and process exceptions.

You will reinforce SOPs, safety rules, and housekeeping while gaining broad operational exposure and a clear path toward leadership

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse/operations leadership experience.
• Willingness to work days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and ability to lead hourly teams.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Excel and warehouse systems.
• Experience in beverage distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory coverage across warehouse functions when managers are off.
• Support day, afternoon, and night operations including receiving, returns, putaway, inventory follow-up, QC, staging, loading, and shift handoff.
• Direct hourly workflow, communicate expectations, monitor floor conditions, and elevate risks early.
• Assist with workload balancing, labor coverage, equipment allocation, and vendor follow-up.
• Use warehouse systems, Excel, reports, and dashboards to track exceptions and inventory issues.
• Reinforce SOPs, safety rules, PPE, and housekeeping.
