Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Warehouse Merchandise Process Coordinator to train Merchandise Processors and Recycling Processors in one of our distribution centers. The role includes onboarding new hires, ongoing training, and execution of daily warehouse tasks.

You will oversee comprehensive training plans, identify gaps, and work with leaders to drive continuous improvement. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing/sitting for long periods, and passing necessary certifications.

Qualifications

• 6 months of leadership and distribution experience.
• 6 months of training experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Train Merchandise Processors and Recycling Processors in distribution centers and onboarding new hires.
• Oversee training plans and upskill existing employees.
• Identify training gaps and collaborate to implement solutions.
• Track training effectiveness and provide real-time feedback.
• Inspect warehouse operations and ensure SOP adherence.
• Lead start-up meetings and support day-to-day warehouse functions.
• Provide guidance on workflows and answer operational questions.
• Meet certification and driving requirements for equipment operation.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication.

Job Description

As a Warehouse Merchandise Process Coordinator, you'll train Merchandise Processors and Recycling Processors in one of our distribution centers. This onboarding training for new hires and routine training for existing employees. In addition to overseeing training, you'll also execute day-to-day warehouse tasks.

What you'll do

• Oversee comprehensive training plans, including hands-on instruction for new hires and upskilling existing employees
• Identify training gaps and collaborate with leaders to develop and implement effective solutions.
• Track and evaluate training effectiveness, providing in-the-moment instruction and feedback to reinforce learning and drive continuous improvement.
• Inspecting warehouse operations and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Contribute to daily operations by leading start-up meetings, executing warehouse functions and modeling safe operational best practices.
• Provide timely resolution to operational questions and offer workflow guidance as needed
• Able to pass all applicable certification and driving requirements to become licensed to operate equipment
• Able to stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Able to lift weight up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
