Job summary

Bob’s Discount Furniture seeks a Returns Material Handler to unload product deliveries and help organize inventory on the floor. You will work with the team to ensure returns are unloaded safely and moved to the proper areas for checking.

Key duties include offloading from trailers, labeling inventory, maintaining a clean, safe workspace, recording locations, and performing other duties as assigned. Starting pay ranges $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse environment.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by department needs, including weekends as needed.
• Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Unload returned merchandise from trailers using a hand truck as appropriate.
• Offload onto Returns floor to the proper checking area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; record locations of inventory.

Job Overview

The Returns Material Handler is responsible for unloading product deliveries and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory. The Returns Material Handler will work with the team to ensure all returned merchandise is unloaded safely and carefully to avoid injury and product damage. All pieces must be placed on the unloading floor in the proper area for checking. Other responsibilities include: Unload returned merchandise from trailers utilizing a hand truck as appropriate. Offload onto Returns floor to the proper checking area. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; record locations of inventory. All other duties as assigned.

Ability to safely and efficiently operate various equipment including forklifts and cherry pickers. Compensation

Starting hourly pay at $17.00 - $19.00/hour (Based on experience)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

• Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
• Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
• Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
• Standing, walking, lifting, and arranging product: 90% Sitting: 5% Desk or phone work: 5%
