Job summary

The Mccormick Paint Works Company is seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate at our Frederick, MD facility. The role involves pulling stock, loading/unloading freight, receiving shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory using handheld scanners.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 2 years in material handling, and strong communication and teamwork skills. Physical stamina and forklift experience are required, with the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school degree, or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in material handling environment
• Previous administrative responsibilities, preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret store orders for materials pulled
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work successfully in a fast-paced team environment are required
• Possess basic mathematical skills
• Attention to detail and the capacity to increase administrative support responsibilities as needed
• Ability to stand for long period of time and work in a Distribution Center / warehouse environment
• Must have previous experience operating forklifts / electric pallet jacks safely
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, shoulder height.

Responsibilities

• Pull stock to fill orders accurately
• Load and unload inbound & outbound freight, with accurate documentation
• Receive/process shipments
• Move and stack materials
• Rotate floor stock
• Inventory fulfillment
• Use handheld inventory scanners to manage accurate inventory levels
• Provide administrative support to Distribution Center Manager
• Assist other warehouse or plant staff, when required
• Assist in routine care, cleaning and upkeep of machinery within Distribution Warehouse
• Report damaged merchandise or other problems immediately to appropriate supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
