Job summary

McGough is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Material Handler to support daily warehouse operations in Creston, IA. You will receive, inspect, store, and move materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and help keep a safe, organized warehouse environment.

The role requires ability to operate or learn forklifts, basic computer skills for inventory documentation, and reliable attendance. You will work in a fast-paced production setting with opportunities for Lean improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3-5 years of previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete inventory documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Forklift Certified

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Verify quantities against purchase orders, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Identify and report damaged or missing materials.
• Accurately document and process received materials in inventory systems.
• Safely transport materials throughout warehouse and production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Load, unload, move, stage, and store materials in designated locations.
• Ensure materials are handled in accordance with company safety procedures and product requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through timely transactions and documentation.
• Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation.
• Monitor inventory levels and support stock replenishment activities.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Properly label and store inventory to maximize efficiency and accessibility.
• Follow housekeeping standards and comply with all safety regulations.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations.
• Assist with general shop tasks during equipment downtime
• Participate in Lean improvement efforts and workflow optimization
• Attend shop meetings and training as required
• Other duties as assigned
