Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a permanent full-time Material Handler in Mt. Sterling, KY. The role involves loading, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation in a safety-focused environment. You will handle cycle counts, paperwork, and basic maintenance of automated packing systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse environment.
• Punctual with good attendance record.
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within contract performance guidelines and standards.
• Responsible for accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production shifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
