Job summary

Reliance, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks a warehouse associate to support metals processing and distribution within the Plant family. Responsibilities include moving inventory, operating material handling equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualified candidates will have up to 5 years of experience in warehousing, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to meet MVR criteria. Certification to operate equipment and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Ability to meet current MVR quality criteria as defined by regulations.
• Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain certification to operate required material handling equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication skills, legible handwriting.
• Adequate manual dexterity and coordination.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic measurement and arithmetic skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time.
• Ability to make sound decisions and work with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory or equipment and fill customer orders.
• Pull material from racks, unload incoming material, load trucks.
• Restock material and maintain warehouse upkeep.
• Receive and place/return items into stock locations.
• Pull and assemble orders based on documentation.
• Tag material for identification and complete documentation.
• Move material using forklift, side loader, or crane.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Sort materials by size, type, or product code.
• Spot check inventory and tag materials as directed.
• Report irregularities to supervisor.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.
