Job summary

NFI Industries in Los Angeles is seeking a Material Handler to move materials, load and unload freight, pick and pack orders, and support warehouse operations.

This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and housekeeping, with base pay around $18.42/hour and possible $1.00/hour shift premium.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and strong attention to detail; RF scanning and inventory tasks may be involved.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs various material handling duties manually or using a hand truck within the facility
• Loads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as required
• Stacks skids or pallets in storage or staging areas
• Loads and unloads freight in an efficient, safe, and accurate manner
• Picks and packs customer orders, assembling merchandise for shipment
• Applies labels to shipments according to company and customer requirements
• Processes orders: picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, and shipment confirmations
• Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
• Provides cleaning and sanitation services as needed
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area following safety standards
• Performs other duties as required by management
