Job summary

Echo Electric, a Sonepar brand, is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler in Ames, IA, with backup delivery duties. The role involves receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and general warehouse upkeep. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00–4:00pm.

The candidate will operate forklifts, use an RF scanner, and assist with deliveries to ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment while upholding safety standards and quality control.

Qualifications

• Experience operating warehouse equipment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Comfort with using an RF scanner and basic computer tasks.
• Willingness to drive delivery vehicles and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship orders using RF scanner and proper labeling.
• Receive, store, and inventory-check items accurately.
• Perform cycle counts and report variances to Warehouse Manager.
• Unload/load materials safely using forklifts and body mechanics.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
