Job summary

Echo Electric, a brand owned by Sonepar, is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler with backup Delivery Driver duties in Ames, IA. The role involves receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and general warehouse maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00–4:00pm, with opportunities to operate forklifts and delivery vehicles. Ideal candidates are at least 21 years old, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and comfortable using RF scanners and basic computer

Qualifications

• Must be capable of operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Basic computer skills and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive, pick, pack, and ship orders using RF scanner; orders range from small boxes to pallets.
• Receive and store inventory in a safe and correct manner; perform cycle counts.
• Record damaged or defective materials and report observations to Warehouse Manager.
• Load/unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently; use forklifts as needed.
• Cut wire, rod, or strut with appropriate equipment; maintain a tidy warehouse.
