Job summary

APL Logistics is seeking a Material Handler to locate and load customer products by hand and with non-motorized equipment. You will count, weigh and record units, complete specialized order processing, and prepare trailers for loading to ensure product preservation.

Responsibilities include pulling orders, loading/unloading, equipment maintenance, reporting, and general site upkeep. Shift is 3rd, Monday–Friday, 10 p.m.–6 a.m. Wages start at $23.00/hour with shift differential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years warehouse or related work experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to operate non-motorized equipment, conveyor systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Packing material systems.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must have attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner.
• Language skills - English.
• Must be a Team Player.

Responsibilities

• Pulling orders: locate and load customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves; record units.
• Loading & unloading: label, document, and transport orders per instructions; handle paperwork.
• Operating & maintenance: inspect and maintain tow-motor equipment; keep facility clean and safe.
• Reports: complete activity and statistical reports as assigned; assist in inventories.
• Miscellaneous: housekeeping and 5S compliance; assist in other duties as directed.
