Job description

Warehouse Material Handler - 2nd Shift - Centralia, MO

The Warehouse Person will be responsible for storing and pulling materials from designated locations, maintaining accurate records of all items in the warehouse, staging areas, or storage areas.

Responsibilities include determining shipping and packing requirements, verifying quantities, catalog numbers, markings, and condition of packaging, and ensuring damage-free shipments in accordance with customer requirements. The role requires loading materials properly, preparing shipment documents, processing inbound and outbound shipments, and coordinating with production scheduling.

The Warehouse Person will identify each item with the correct SPC number, purchase order, and other pertinent information, and weigh or count items for shipping or receipt. They will also store, retrieve, and deliver parts and materials to the appropriate departments.

Operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts is required, along with the use of hand tools. The role necessitates reading routing sheets, using tools like box knives, tape measures, and power tools, and operating computer terminals for SPC and other data entry.

Passing the Packing and Shipping Operator’s Test and certifying product quality and catalog numbers per company or customer requirements are mandatory.

Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and equipment is expected. The physical requirements include:

  • Ability to work for at least eight hours
  • Walking, hearing, seeing, and full use of both hands
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs from floor to waist or waist to floor
  • Lifting over 65 lbs
  • Lifting 75 lbs from the floor to 41 inches height and carrying it 6 feet

These physical demands may occasionally be exceeded.
