Position Details

Title: Material Handler: 2nd Shift

Location: Salisbury, MA

Reporting To: Warehouse Manager

Position Overview

This role supports machine operators by ensuring the smooth flow of materials and work, maintaining quality and efficiency, minimizing scrap, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow schedules to meet demand.
• Set up orders per specifications.
• Operate equipment such as order pickers, pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely.
• Interpret raw material labels and storage units.
• Perform tasks like ZLETP_MULTIPLE/ZPUTAWAY, staging, and adjusting order forms.
• Move materials using scanners and consolidate inventory in SAP.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met, including proper inspection of goods.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment.
• Report issues to supervisors and complete assigned projects.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in regulated industries.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic math.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 60 lbs, and perform visual assessments.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Willingness to embody Milliken's core values.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience, SAP proficiency, inventory management skills.

Work Environment & Safety

Manufacturing setting with exposure to loud noise, high temperatures, and humidity. Safety-sensitive position requiring PPE such as eyewear, steel-toe shoes, and gloves.

Shift & Hours

Schedule varies; includes weekends and holidays based on business needs. Overtime may be scheduled.
