Job description

A Day In The Life

• The Warehouse Person will be responsible for storing and pulling materials from designated locations, maintaining accurate records of all items in the warehouse, staging, or storage areas.
• Responsibilities include determining shipping requirements, packing, cataloging, labeling, inspecting packaging, loading shipments to prevent damage, verifying container types for bill of lading, and adhering to trailer weight limits.
• Prepare documentation for inbound and outbound shipments, process UPS inbound shipments and returns, coordinate with production scheduling, and identify items with proper SPC numbers, purchase order, and other pertinent information. Weigh or count items as needed.
• Store, retrieve, and deliver parts and materials to the appropriate departments.
• Operate material handling equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts, and provide your own hand tools.
• Read routing sheets, use tools like box knives, tape measures, band cutters, and power tools, and operate computer terminals for SPC tasks.
• Pass the Packing and Shipping Operator's Test and certify the quality and catalog number of products as per company or customer requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of machines, equipment, and work areas.

• Full use of hands, good hearing, sight, and mobility.
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, and over 65 lbs when necessary.
• Lift 75 lbs from the floor to 41 inches high and carry it 6 feet.
• Note: Physical requirements are general; occasional work may exceed these levels.
