Job description

A Day In The Life

• The Warehouse Person will be responsible for storing and pulling material from designated locations and maintaining accurate records of all items in the warehouse, staging, or storage areas.
• Responsibilities include determining shipping requirements, packing, cataloging, labeling, inspecting packaging, loading shipments to prevent damage, verifying container types for bills of lading, and ensuring compliance with trailer weight limits.
• Additional duties involve staging materials, preparing shipment documentation, processing inbound and outbound shipments, coordinating with production scheduling, and labeling items with proper SPC numbers, purchase orders, and other pertinent information.
• The role requires storing, retrieving, and delivering parts and materials to appropriate departments.
• Operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks and forklifts is required, along with providing personal hand tools.
• The Warehouse Person must be capable of reading routing sheets, using tools like box knives, tape measures, band cutters, and power tools, and operating computer terminals for SPC tasks.
• Passing the Packing and Shipping Operator’s Test and certifying product quality and catalog numbers as per company or customer standards are required.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment is also part of the role.

• Ability to work a minimum of eight hours.
• Full use of hearing, sight, and both hands, with the ability to walk.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist, and over 65 lbs as needed.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs from the floor to 41 inches height and carry it 6 feet.
• Note: Physical requirements are general estimates; occasional work may exceed these levels.
