Job summary

Custom Builder Supply is seeking a materials handler to move and manage materials at the plant, yard, or job site. You will read work orders, load and unload materials, and help prepare shipments while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, securing loads, and recording material counts. Strong teamwork and punctuality are required to sustain daily production and support crane operators when needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of words and numbers; print and speak simple sentences.
• Mathematical ability: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, percent.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within plant, yard, or work site.
• Opens containers and loads/unloads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Loads materials into vehicles and secures with strapping or padding.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Operates industrial truck or hoist to move materials and products.
• Attaches labels and records material counts on production sheets.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and prepares shipments.
