Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Full Time Material Handler position in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operation in a clean, well-run facility with weekly pay. Overtime and shift premiums apply, with a second shift schedule from 1:30pm to 10:00pm.

We offer on-the-job paid training, safety gear, and modern equipment. Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for long periods, and work flexible shifts in a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexible schedule on various shifts.
• Detail oriented with good attendance.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs; stand for long periods.
• Follow health and safety methods in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Maintain accuracy of day-to-day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measures defined in the contract.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Phoenix, Arizona — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $25.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour when assigned to Second Shift
• Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour when converted to full time after 90 days
• Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday and every other Saturday as needed, 1:30pm - 10:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
