Sanofi Swiftwater is seeking a Warehouse Manager, Off-Shift to lead the daily end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring timely receipt, storage and fulfilment of materials for 24/7 site production.

You will supervise a team of ~8, drive a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with cGMP and SOPs while coordinating with internal customers and 3PL partners to maintain inventory accuracy and on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with supervisory/management experience or 5+ years in warehouse operations with supervisory experience.
  • APICS certification is an asset.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily end-to-end warehouse operations and material movement per cGMP and SOPs.
  • Direct supervision of internal team members (~8 people), including training, performance management and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Promote a heightened safety culture with proper training and equipment to sustain site safety performance.
  • Verify inbound shipments against documentation; resolve discrepancies and process receipts in SAP S4 HANNA.
  • Manage end-to-end inventory control including order fulfilment, goods issues, bin transfers and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate site order fulfilment with site customers, Material Planning and vendors as required.
  • Supervise material disposal activities and hazardous waste documentation; ensure safe handling of regulated materials.
  • Collaborate with offsite 3PL storage providers for transfers to/from external facilities.
  • Support inspections and remediation activities; identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

The Warehouse Operations team is responsible for the receipt, put away, storage and fulfilment of raw materials and consumables to our internal production (Drug Substance & Drug Product) and Quality customers within the site. All activities must be performed as per local procedure, and in accordance with cGMP and Sanofi Global Operating Procedures (GOP’s).

The Warehouse Manager, Off-Shift, along with the Warehouse Manager and Logistics Manager, comprise the Warehouse & Logistics Operations Leadership Team - all of whom reporting to the Head of Warehousing & Logistics. This position provides daily shop-floor supervision of the 2nd and 3rd shift warehouse processes, with associated shift team operators reporting directly to this person.

Primary duties of the position include, but are not limited to
  • Oversight of daily end-to-end warehouse operations and material movement, in compliance with cGMP and SOPs.
  • Provides direct supervision of internal team members (~ 8 ppl), including training and development, performance management, recognition and onboarding/offboarding.
  • Promote, demonstrate and support a heightened Safety Culture within the team and the facility, ensuing all team members have the proper training, equipment, mindset and resources to sustain our safety performance at the site.
  • Verification of inbound shipments against freight and packing documentation, identifying and resolving discrepancies (OS&D) and processing of all receipts and transactions in SAP S4 HANNA (batch, non-batch, quality-managed, and imported materials) in a timely manner.
  • Management of accurate inventory control from end to end, including order fulfilments, goods issues, bin-to-bin transfers and cycle count activities, all of which while maintaining corporate and site inventory standards.
  • Coordination of site order fulfilment, while maintaining a high level of communication with site customers, Material Planning and vendors when required.
  • Supervision of material disposal activities (Material Disposal Orders - MDO’s) and hazardous waste documentation and ensures safe handling and storage of regulated materials.
  • Works in close collaboration with offsite 3PL storage service providers, for material transfers to/from external storage facilities.
  • Supports internal and external inspections of facilities and processes, including remediation activities for observations or findings.
  • Evaluate existing processes and ways of working, to identify process efficiencies and cost-savings initiatives.
  • Oversight of department reporting and analytics as required.
  • Obtain/maintain required medical screening, training and certification for department/role-specific curriculum, including the operation of material handling equipment.
About You
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field with 1+ years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing operations environment with supervisory, senior operator, or management experience OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing operations environment and 2+ years of supervisory, senior operator, or management experience.

APICS certification is an asset.

  • Experience in a regulated industry is required (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, food & beverage, or comparable regulated environment
