Job summary

Johnson Brothers Maverick, a leading beverage distributor, is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager for the night shift. You will lead a team of supervisors, leads, clerks, and associates to ensure accurate, efficient, and safe order picking, loading, and delivery preparation.

The role requires 2+ years in warehouse leadership, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with WMS and OSHA/DOT safety standards. Night hours and overnight shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience; night shift preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills.
• Understanding of OSHA and DOT safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the night shift warehouse team to achieve productivity, accuracy, and safety goals.
• Oversee nightly order selection, truck loading, and preparation for delivery for on-time shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Coach, train, and mentor team members with clear expectations and feedback.
• Monitor KPIs and coordinate with day shift leadership for smooth transitions.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and workflow to meet nightly demands.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Partner with Delivery and Inventory Control to align operations and resolve issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor key performance indicators and partner with day shift leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions and consistent performance.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and workflow to meet nightly operational demands.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Partner with other departments including Delivery and Inventory Control to align operations and resolve issues quickly.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of warehouse or distribution leadership experience; experience managing night shift preferred.
