Job summary

Composites One is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse activities, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency. You will manage receiving, storage, and distribution while leading a team to meet operating income and ROA goals.

The role requires 5+ years in warehousing with supervisory experience, knowledge of FIFO, OSHA/Hazmat, and proficiency in SAP/WMS. Strong leadership and cost-conscious logistics are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a warehouse environment including supervisory experience.
• Proven track record in a team development role.
• Experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack.
• In-depth knowledge of FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety awareness, and HAZMAT shipping.
• Proficient in MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn internal systems (SAP).
• Proficient with WMS, B2B functions, near-miss and SDS, UPS, FedEx, and dedicated logistics systems.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and establish staffing systems and procedures for consistent, accurate order fulfillment.
• Investigate and establish root cause of shipping/receiving errors and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain supplier partnerships to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Coordinate product movement, warehousing space, and stock rotation with regional Buyers.
• Plan layouts for storage areas considering turnover, weight, and item characteristics.
• Oversee annual physical inventory and regular cycle counts.
• Monitor freight transactions and minimize costs through routing tools and analysis.
• Lead a quality, customer-focused warehouse environment with teamwork and accountability.
