Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager will oversee all daily warehouse functions, including safety, inventory accuracy, team leadership, and logistics for finished goods. This role is hands‑on and critical to ensuring our customers receive products on time and in perfect condition.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management & Logistics
- Oversee staging, inspection, and accurate storage of finished goods received from production.
- Ensure precise inventory counts, reconciliation, and documentation using Warehouse Management System (WMS) software.
- Manage on‑time, accurate shipments to customers, including domestic transportation planning.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and customer service teams to prioritize and fulfill customer orders.
2. Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of warehouse associates.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow and timely shipment staging.
- Oversee a Monday–Friday work schedule, with occasional overtime based on production and customer demand.
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping and organization throughout the warehouse.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Uphold and promote a strong safety culture within the facility.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, spooling/cutting equipment).
- Perform regular safety inspections and maintain compliance with all company policies and local/federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or a similar supervisory role.
- Required: Experience in the wire and cable industry or a comparable manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Strong background in domestic transportation management and carrier coordination.
- Proficient in WMS software for inventory, shipping, and receiving.
- Strong understanding of warehouse/manufacturing safety regulations and best practices.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with experience managing and motivating teams.
- Ability to work on‑site in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Training Requirement
- Initial Training: Must be available for weekly travel to headquarters for approximately five (5) weeks of comprehensive onboarding. All travel and lodging expenses are fully covered by the company.
