Interior Exterior Building Supply in Opelika, AL is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations, lead Drivers and warehouse staff, and ensure safe, efficient handling of stock and equipment.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of management experience in a building supply context, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of DOT regulations and forklift maintenance. This role focuses on safety, productivity, and HR coordination at the local branch.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience, preferably with a building supply distribution background.
• Must have basic mechanical knowledge for maintaining forklifts and trucks.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements including EDL (electronic driving logs).
• Forklift certification is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Operation employees including Drivers, Helpers, Warehouse Labor and Forklift Operators.
• Manage all aspects of the warehouse such as stocking, reordering, inventory, safety.
• Ensure the building, trucks, forklifts, and any other equipment is properly maintained.
• Complete Safety Orientation with all employees.
• Conduct monthly Safety Meetings.
• Handle emergencies such as employee accidents or incidents along with all thereporting and follow up that goes with it.
• Act as main liaison between the Branch and the Safety Director.
• Work closely with Human Resources on all new hires, terminations, corrective action, and personnel changes for all Warehouse employees.
