Position Summary
The Warehouse Manager at our STERIS Applied Sterilization Technologies (AST) Coon Rapids, MN location leads a team responsible for the coordination and execution of all Customer Shipping/Receiving and, in certain plants, Planning functions. The role has responsibility for Safety, Quality, Employee Relations, and Costs in their respective departments of responsibility.
What You’ll do as a Warehouse Manager
- Monitor and correct problems to ensure the work environment is safe and complies with federal and state regulatory agencies.
- Ensure accuracy of product reconciliation documentation and supporting procedures (Incoming product quantities, accurate receipts and BOL, damage reporting).
- Ensure accuracy of return shipment quantities and Ship To: locations.
- Strive for continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve inbound and outbound shipments using lean tools, data-based decision-making, and evaluating and improving flow.
- Audit area standard work, making corrections as necessary and identifying processes for targeted continuous improvement events.
- Responsibilities can also extend to the Planning function and managing the overall processing schedule to ensure Customer turn time and processing requirements are met.
- Support facility capacity management through active participation with the site management team.
- Maximize uptime efficiency of the production schedule to ensure maximum processing volume.
- Manage department budgets.
- Conduct 1-on-1 performance meetings with team members.
- Lead warehouse staff by creating a safe work environment and collaborating across functions to manage logistics issues, ensuring compliance with DOT(CTPAT), FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations.
- Audit adherence to standard work, revising as necessary.
- Develop KPIs for areas of responsibility and provide coaching to ensure understanding. Identify development opportunities for succession planning.
- Optimize planning and scheduling of irradiators, vessels, and accelerators.
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt and outbound shipment of Customer loads, and timely responses to Customer inquiries.
- Minimize Customer product damage and Quality issues. Investigate Quality issues as they arise.
- Ensure safety and quality compliance while handling Customer products and operating equipment.
- Engage workforce using Lean principles to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
- Manage area expenses to meet P&L targets.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Required Experience
- High School Diploma or GED with 10+ years of supervisory experience.
- Experience leading teams, including Planning functions.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of leadership experience.
- Knowledge of DOT and logistics regulations, performance management.

Pay range: $74,500 - $104,212.50. Pay depends on experience, education, certifications, and other factors.
