Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead regional purchasing, contract strategy, and supplier relations. You will drive national contracts, negotiate pricing, and implement corporate standards across the region.

Focus on cost reduction, supplier diversity initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with sister companies to maximize savings. A strong background in procurement leadership and MS Office/PeopleSoft is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years business experience, at least 5 years in related field.
• Equivalent work experience accepted.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Engineering, or Economics.

Responsibilities

• Analyses, recommends, and implements national contracts for assigned Commodities.
• Negotiates price changes and new contracts.
• Implements Minority Business Enterprise program throughout region.
• Implements corporate procurement standards and procedures throughout all region locations.

• Evaluates new vendors and maintains current vendor relationships.
• Provides full procurement support for all region needs.
• Trains region procurement staff and region supply chain staff.
• Evaluates warehouse and inventory control systems in place (supply management processes).
• Implements corporate supply management processes.
• Maintains region inventories.
• Implements e-procurement programs and procedures.

Job Description

Position Purpose:

Responsible for full procurement support of the region, including purchasing and supply chain management. This position is also responsible for strategic procurement initiatives aimed at decreasing unit costs and recommending new initiatives leveraging spend on a national and international basis.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

• BABusiness Administration/Engineering/ Economics -preferred(or);
• Equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10+ years business experience, at least 5 years in related field.
