Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail inventory warehouse. This role will be critical in managing retail inventory categorization, facilitating seasonal transitions, coordinating new store fulfillment, and handling inventory overflow via off-site storage and broker networks. The ideal candidate will bring strong operational expertise and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure efficient and accurate inventory flow across our retail network.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Categorization
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through effective warehouse organization and management systems.
  • Oversee product categorization for ease of retrieval and accurate tracking.
  • Ensure inventory is cycle-counted and reconciled regularly to maintain system integrity.
Seasonal Flips & Transitions
  • Plan and execute seasonal inventory transitions across retail locations.
  • Coordinate efficient removal and storage of off-season goods and timely staging of in-season products.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for product rotations and seasonal setups.
New & Existing Store Fulfillment
  • Manage outbound shipments and inventory fulfillment for new store openings.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and store operations to ensure correct product assortments and quantities.
  • Track and communicate timelines for inventory delivery to store locations.
Trailer & Overflow Management
  • Partner with Transportation Supervisor to oversee scheduling, loading, and unloading of trailers used for excess inventory.
  • Maintain proper tracking of inventory stored off-site and ensure accessibility.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines during all trailer activity.
Excess Inventory Brokering
  • Identify opportunities for brokering surplus inventory through GII network partners.
  • Manage documentation, shipping, and transfer logistics for brokered goods.
Team Leadership & Warehouse Operations
  • Lead and develop warehouse staff to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Implement and maintain warehouse best practices to ensure efficiency, safety, and accuracy.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare reports on inventory, shipping, receiving, and labor productivity.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in a retail or multi-store environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control systems and warehouse logistics.
  • Experience managing seasonal transitions and new store logistics.
  • Familiarity with inventory brokerage and retail supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency with WMS, ERP, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move inventory as needed; forklift certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with cross-docking and multi-modal inventory flow.
  • Knowledge of retail merchandising practices and seasonal product life cycles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Negotiation experience with logistics vendors and retail partners.
