Job summary

Teleflex Incorporated in Massachusetts is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead all warehouse operations for a medical device manufacturing facility, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, and material movement.

You will drive performance through Lean initiatives, standard work, and cross‑functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain, ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years leading warehouse or distribution teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage warehouse personnel, fostering accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee warehouse operations across on-site and third-party locations, ensuring efficient material flow and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined inventory management practices and ERP transactions.
  • Drive daily operational execution through performance metrics, Gemba, visual management, and problem solving.
  • Develop and sustain standardized work processes to promote consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead employee training, coaching, and cross-training initiatives to build a flexible warehouse team.
  • Collaborate with Senior Materials Manager and cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, space utilization, and inventory management.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kanban systems, 5S, and standard work.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressive warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum of 3 years of experience leading warehouse or distribution teams
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
SAP experience

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations for the medical device manufacturing facility, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, cycle counting, material movement, warehouse organization, and storage. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and timely flow of materials to support manufacturing operations and customer delivery requirements while maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.

The Warehouse Manager provides day‑to‑day leadership to the warehouse team, driving operational performance through employee development, accountability, standardized processes, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain, this position plays a key role in optimizing material flow, inventory accuracy, and Lean initiatives across the facility.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, develop, and manage warehouse personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee warehouse operations across both on‑site and third‑party warehouse locations, ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, operational consistency, and service levels in support of manufacturing and customer requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials to support production schedules and customer commitments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through disciplined inventory management practices, cycle count execution, inventory reconciliation, and accurate ERP transactions.
  • Oversee material flow throughout the facility to ensure uninterrupted support of manufacturing operations.
  • Drive daily operational execution through performance metrics, Gemba meetings, visual management, and structured problem solving.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standardized work processes to promote consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Lead employee training, coaching, and cross‑training initiatives to build a flexible, highly capable warehouse team.
  • Partner with the Senior Materials Manager and cross‑functional stakeholders to improve warehouse processes, material flow, space utilization, and inventory management.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including implementation of Kanban systems, 5S, standard work, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with company policies, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety expectations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for warehouse‑related operational issues and drive timely resolution.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading warehouse or distribution teams.
  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material movement, and cycle counting.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing warehouse teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and material flow within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize competing operational demands while ensuring timely, accurate and safe execution of warehouse activities.
  • Experience maintaining inventory accuracy through disciplined inventory control practices and ERP transaction management.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kanban, standard work, and visual management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($96,100-$144,200) however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short‑and long‑term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered.
