Job summary

HR On Demand is seeking a Warehouse Manager for a Texas-based manufacturing partner in the robotics/optical systems space. You will own dock-to-dock operations, lead receiving, kitting, shipping and inventory control in a fast-paced, precision electronics environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, ERP integrity, safety compliance, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Advanced ERP proficiency for inventory and shipping workflows.
• Experience with kitting, material staging, and production-floor flow.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and warehouse safety standards.
• Clear communication for cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and freight partners.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations — receiving, put-away, kitting, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Ensure real-time ERP accuracy with 100% inventory synchronization.
• Manage inbound dock operations and IQC staging without bottlenecks.
• Lead cycle counts and regular physical inventories to reduce discrepancies.
• Enforce OSHA-compliant handling and ESD protocols for sensitive components.
• Develop SOPs for storage, handling, and warehouse slotting.
• Lead warehouse team with KPIs and performance expectations.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering and 3PL providers.

About the Role

The Warehouse Manager will own the full dock-to-dock process — leading receiving, kitting, shipping, and inventory control teams in a fast-paced, precision electronics environment. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and shape the warehouse function from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Inventory

• Oversee all daily warehouse operations — receiving, put-away, kitting, picking, packing, and shipping — ensuring seamless material flow to and from the production floor
• Ensure real-time ERP accuracy: every physical movement mirrored in the system to maintain 100% inventory synchronization
• Manage inbound dock operations — verify incoming components and optical assemblies, stage materials for IQC without bottlenecks
• Lead rigorous cycle counting and periodic physical inventory audits to eliminate discrepancies and shrinkage

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce OSHA-compliant material handling practices and ESD protocols for sensitive optical and electronic components
• Develop and maintain SOPs for material handling, storage, and warehouse slotting
• Manage forklift and warehouse equipment maintenance and certification

Team & Performance

• Build, lead, and develop a team of warehouse associates and material handlers — setting clear KPIs and performance expectations
• Monitor OTD, Order Cycle Time, Picking Accuracy, and Inventory Accuracy to drive continuous improvement
• Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure uninterrupted material flow and production support
• Coordinate with international freight carriers, customs brokers, and 3PL providers — including imports from Taiwan and Asia

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field — or equivalent experience
• 5–8+ years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) for inventory and shipping workflows
• Experience with kitting, raw material staging, and production-floor material flow
• Deep knowledge of OSHA, forklift safety, and warehouse compliance standards
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, and freight partners

Preferred

• Electronics, optical systems, or high-tech manufacturing experience — ESD-sensitive component handling a strong plus
• International freight and customs coordination experience — particularly with Taiwan or Asia-based suppliers
• Lean tools: 5S, Visual Management, Kanban replenishment
• Ability to read BOMs and engineering drawings to verify correct parts issued to production
• Bilingual English/Mandarin a plus given Robo Optic's Taiwan-based leadership and supply chain
