Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Indianapolis, Indiana is hiring a Warehouse Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician to join a safety-focused team in a clean, organized facility.

The role offers weekly pay, a second shift premium, and opportunities to work on all warehousing equipment within a growing supply chain environment. You will perform routine maintenance, electrical/mechanical repairs, and preventive maintenance while supporting operations and training other associates as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and trouble-shooting.
  • Has the ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder.
  • Good organizational, communication, and planning skills.
  • Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
  • Experience operating forklift equipment required.
  • Equipment certification may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs maintenance and trouble-shooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner.
  • Maintains and trouble-shoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable.
  • Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems.
  • Performs routine forklift repairs.
  • Maintains batteries and related equipment.
  • Perfoms routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs.
  • If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates.
  • Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed.

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

  • Hourly Pay $30.00 per hour
  • Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour when assigned to second shift
  • Overtime Pay $45.00 per hour
  • Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm
  • OT isavailable
