Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Maintenance Tech II in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly:

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour (depending on experience)
• Schedule: 3rd Shift Sundays 9:00 pm - 6:00 am and Monday - Thursday 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 8-10 years plant/warehouse general maintenance experience, including electrical and mechanical repair and troubleshooting
• Ability to make quick, reliable decisions that represent both the customer and Ryder
• Good organizational, communication, and planning skills
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred
• Experience operating forklift equipment required
• Equipment certification may be required

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and troubleshooting functions on all warehousing equipment in an independent and effective manner
• Maintains and troubleshoots plant utility systems including fire protection, water, electrical, air, and vacuum as applicable
• Understands shop maintenance, parts inventory, parts ordering, and plant reporting systems
• Performs routine forklift repairs
• Maintains batteries and related equipment
• Performs routine Preventive Maintenance (PM) and maintains records of repairs
• If required, provides training, including aspects of safety, quality, sanitation, and efficiency of packaging/warehouse equipment, for operations associates
• Additional duties as assigned, overtime as needed
