This position is responsible for off-loading product at the receiving point for inbound freight, securely placing it on a pallet with accuracy and quality.

Essential Job Functions / Principal Accountabilities

  • Read breakdown sheet.
  • Unload product from trailer.
  • Sort and place correct quantities of product onto pallet, down or up-stacking following product placement directions.
  • Stack product to ensure it is not damaged in any way.
  • Move product to designated dock area using power equipment.
  • Use slip-sheet, clamp device, or forklift where necessary.
  • Shrink wrap and or tape product to prepare it for warehouse racking location.
  • Change battery in power equipment using required personal protective equipment.
  • Perform pre and post shift check on equipment and report needed repairs to supervisor/maintenance personnel.
  • Identify damaged product and notify appropriate personnel in order to prevent damaged product from entering the warehouse.
  • Perform daily sanitation including sorting pallets, dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.


Minimum Qualifications And Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be able to successfully pass a drug screen, and criminal background check.
  • Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull grasp and reach above the head continuously for periods of up to 3 hours or more.
  • Lift up to 65 pounds with frequency.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to meet the changing needs of the DC; work schedules may require working early or late and weekend work depending on up operational need.
  • Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
  • Work at necessary pace to ensure product is moving smoothly into the receiving process.


Working Conditions

  • All areas of the distribution center
  • Work in warm and cold temperature conditions that may range from 34 degrees to 100 degrees F.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents and compounds, and working in close proximity to other teammates.


Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
