Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking Warehousemen to support the Columbia Class Submarine Program in the South Yard. You will assist with receipt, movement, storage and logistics of shipboard and non-shipboard material, using computer systems and forklift operations.

This role requires basic math, ability to access inventory systems, and willingness to work varied shifts; potential on-board loading and safety requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or 2 years of technical experience) required.
• 0-5 years warehousing experience or similar role.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Must be able to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Receive, locate, segregate and issue material.
• Use computers/tablets for electronic receipts and material tracking.
• Support using handheld devices and inventory systems.
• Prepare materials for issuing and ensure accuracy.
• Work with hazardous materials handling and MSDS requirements.
