Job summary

UFP Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and shipping dispatch at our St. Charles, IL site. You will lead a safety-focused team, drive efficiency, and collaborate with purchasing and finance to reconcile inventory.

The role requires 3–5 years of warehousing management experience, ERP/Sage 100 proficiency, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a high-volume logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
• 3-5 years warehousing and management experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 3-5 years ERP experience; Sage 100 preferred.
• Bi-lingual English–Spanish preferred.
• Strong project management, decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
• Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated flexibility, sense of urgency, and ability to complete tasks quickly without sacrificing quality.
• Experience functioning in a high-volume logistics operation and IT systems (WMS).
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse operations safely and efficiently with customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
• Promote safety culture and collaborate with other functions in the site.
• Identify and eliminate unsafe conditions and promote safety culture in warehouse operations.
• Supervise daily activities: inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping, and customer service.
• Schedule warehouse team and manage flow to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime.
• Establish warehouse practices, protocols, and procedures for receiving, handling, storage, and shipping.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of receiving and shipping transactions.
• Manage regular cycle counts and physical inventories; reconcile with Purchasing and Finance.
• Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and conduct 5S events.
• Set warehouse goals with executive management and team leads.
• Inspect equipment and oversee maintenance as needed.
• Meet with warehouse team to analyze productivity and plan loss prevention actions.
• Coordinate logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities.
• Manage departmental spending within budget; coordinate with other functions.
• Participate in quality corrective action meetings.
• Coordinate recycling programs with outside contractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies; plan personnel safety and plant protection activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
