We are currently seeking: Warehouse Logistics Manager

Position Overview

Tusco is seeking a hands‑on, organized, and dependable Warehouse Logistics Manager to lead daily warehouse and yard operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, supporting billing through disciplined data management, coordinating fleet and trailer maintenance, and ensuring materials are staged and ready to support efficient field operations.

The ideal candidate is a strong operator who takes ownership of warehouse organization, equipment readiness, and process improvement, while working closely with Project Managers and Crew Leads to keep jobs running smoothly.

Inventory Management & Billing Support
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through routine counts, reconciliations, and data entry.
  • Track material usage and stock levels in Excel and transfer records into Foundations software.
  • Support accurate customer billing for temporary fence and related inventory transactions.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Help maintain organized storage locations for materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure all materials are accurately assigned to specific jobs to support precise job costing and billing.
  • Maintain clear documentation of material movement to reduce revenue leakage and billing errors.
Warehouse & Yard Operations
  • Oversee daily warehouse and yard organization to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and maintain a staging process so crews can load quickly and leave on schedule each morning.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and job-specific items are properly prepared for upcoming work.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound movement of materials.
  • Own and enforce all inventory check‑in/check‑out procedures to ensure full accountability of materials by job.
  • Inspect returned materials to ensure they are in proper working condition and identify repair/replacement needs.
  • Coordinate vehicle, trailer, and equipment maintenance through the Fleet Department.
  • Obtain approvals as needed and ensure maintenance, inspections, and repairs are completed on schedule.
  • Monitor equipment readiness and communicate issues that may affect operations.
  • Help maintain service records and documentation related to fleet and warehouse equipment.
  • Ensure all trucks and trailers are equipped with required safety equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections of ladders, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance and proper labeling.
  • Coordinate and perform delivery of materials to job sites as needed to support field operations and ensure crews have required materials on time.
Facility & Asset Management
  • Oversee general warehouse and facility upkeep.
  • Maintain organization and accountability of temporary fencing materials and other company assets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve layout, storage, workflow, and overall warehouse efficiency.
  • Identify facility maintenance needs (lighting, leaks, repairs) and coordinate timely resolution with vendors or internal teams.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Crew Leads to coordinate material needs, scheduling, and logistics for upcoming jobs.
  • Communicate shortages, delays, maintenance issues, or operational concerns proactively.
  • Support the field by helping ensure crews have the right materials and equipment when needed.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training as the team grows.
  • Supervise and provide direction to warehouse support staff (e.g., assistants, seasonal help).
  • Delegate tasks and ensure accountability for warehouse operations.
Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain a safe warehouse and yard environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure proper use of forklifts, lifts, trailers, and warehouse equipment.
  • Support housekeeping, safe storage, and general operational compliance.
Expected Results
  • Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy with minimal discrepancies.
  • Support accurate and timely billing through reliable inventory and usage tracking.
  • Keep the warehouse and yard clean, safe, organized, and operationally efficient.
  • Reduce crew downtime by ensuring materials and equipment are staged and ready to go.
  • Ensure fleet, trailer, and equipment maintenance is completed on time to minimize downtime.
  • Improve day‑to‑day warehouse processes that support field productivity and accountability.
  • Ensure all materials are properly allocated to jobs to support accurate and defensible billing.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in both hands‑on (warehouse/yard) and systems/process‑driven environments.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while building strong working relationships with field teams and leadership.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Familiarization with creating SOPs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience with inventory tracking, data entry, and reconciliation.
  • Forklift or reach lift experience required; certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with field and office personnel.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug test, physical, and background checks.
  • Ability to drive company vehicles (valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record).
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in both warehouse and outdoor yard conditions.
  • Reliable transportation required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Foundations software or similar operational/accounting systems.
  • Previous warehouse, yard, logistics, or operations management experience.
  • Experience supporting construction, fencing, or field service operations.
  • Experience coordinating fleet, trailer, or equipment maintenance.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience.
