Performance Food Group is seeking a Loader, Non-Formula for 2nd shift (Sunday - Thursday, 1:00pm until close) at its Kendallville facility. The role involves transporting items into trailers using forklifts or pallet jacks, loading outbound freight, and maintaining safety and productivity standards.

As a Loader, you will prepare pallets for shipping, secure loads, and perform general housekeeping while adhering to safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Experience loading semitrailers using PMHE.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsabilités

• Transports items to be shipped into the trailer with a forklift, pallet jack or by hand according to a predetermined loading plan.
• Moves outgoing products from staging area to the loading dock with forklift.
• Wraps pallets with cellophane and ensures shipping labels are in place.
• Locates the proper trailer slot and secures the load.
• Removes empty pallets and debris to the proper area.
• Inspects pallets for damage and moves them to the proper storage area.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area and follows all safety policies.
• Puts on required PPE and safety gear; performs equipment safety checks.
