Job summary

OrePac Building Products is hiring a Loader to organize the loading dock and assist with preparing customer orders on the route. The role involves heavy lifting, standing for long periods, and potential forklift duties after training.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
• Adherence to safety policies including PPE requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with or without supervision.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts or combilifts.
• Take inventory and ensure products are staged, secured, and shrink-wrapped.
• Determine loading configuration to maximize cube utilization.
• Load products onto trailers and secure to prevent movement.
• Complete replenishment when time permits; forklift duties may apply after training.
