Primary Responsibilities

The Warehouse Loader organizes the loading dock and loads customer orders accurately per route sequence and dispatch time.

  • Must have experience operating EPJs and/or Dock Stocker

Essential Functions

  • Operate powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices such as forklifts or hand jacks to manipulate products.
  • Take inventory of materials on the loading dock, ensure all products are accurately staged, properly stacked, and appropriately shrink-wrapped.
  • Determine the appropriate loading configuration, considering stop order, product mix, and routing to maximize cube utilization.
  • Load product into trucks on pallets or by hand stacking or a combination thereof.
  • Ensure the loading method prevents damage during transit.
  • Check for frozen perishable products on cooler docks and merge with correct orders.
  • Ensure all non-food items (e.g., pallet jacks, display racks, mail) are loaded.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
  • Maintain good attendance and safe work practices.
  • Safeguard confidential company information.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, etc.).

Qualifications / Additional Skills / Aptitude:

  • OSHA Forklift Certification strongly preferred.
  • Good communication skills with internal customers and management.
  • Ability to follow safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently efficiently.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands include carrying, lifting, and moving up to 75 pounds, sitting, standing, walking, and climbing. The environment varies from cool to warm, with exposure to outside weather and typical warehouse noise levels. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
