Description

Job Purpose Summary:

Responsible for line service activities for a given area as assigned by the Ground Service Supervisor. When workload requires, acts as Ground Service Representative.

Primary Accountabilities and Duties:
  1. Comply with the Location’s attendance/tardiness standards.
  2. Monitor Ground service activities as assigned by the Ground Service Supervisor, including coordination with Passenger Service Agents.
  3. Perform all essential duties of Ramp Agents such as loading/unloading baggage, aircraft chocking, connecting electrical power units, positioning passenger stairs, replenishing water, and servicing lavatories.
  4. Provide air start and air-conditioning services.
  5. Connect tow bar and tug for pushback or towing aircraft.
  6. Operate headset/radio for communication between ground crew, flight crew, and tower.
  7. Clean ramp area and ground equipment.
  8. Check in baggage as required.
  9. Know and comply with all safety procedures.
  10. Assist in scheduling employees.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess/maintain a valid Driver’s License and other FAA required identification/seals.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Availability and flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs continuously.
