Job summary

TW Metals, LLC. in Los Angeles is seeking a Warehouse/Production Team Leader to coordinate activities of workers in aluminum plate saw processing, including pulling, packaging and shipping customer orders.

The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and meeting on-time performance targets. You will assign duties, monitor work for accuracy, lead scheduling and the movement of orders, and support branch management in fostering a positive culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, speak and write in English; ability to read safety rules and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and use PC programs (Excel, Word).
• Ability to learn mainframe program Metalware.

Position Summary

Warehouse/Production Team Leader coordinates activities of workers in aluminum plate saw processing including pulling, packaging, and shipping customer orders. The Production Team Leader will perform the following duties.

Proposed Rate: $29.30/hr plus $2 differential

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties and monitors work for accuracy and performance.
• Leads the team in scheduling orders, expediting critical shipments and maintaining on time performance.
• Establishes and maintains rapid turnaround and short lead times.
• Manages routine equipment maintenance for the production cell, follows TW Corporate guidelines and promotes a highly safe, efficient work environment.
• Supports Branch Management in promoting and fostering a positive employee culture, a continuous improvement mindset and excellence in customer service.
• Provides work direction, both written and orally, to the warehouse team personnel.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Operates in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Experience in metals industry helpful.
• Ability to read, speak and write in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word). Ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
