Job description

Position Summary:

Warehouse/Production Team Leader, coordinates activities of workers in aluminum plate saw processing, including pulling, packaging, and shipping customer orders. The Production Team Leader performs the following duties:

Responsibilities:

• Assigns duties and monitors work for accuracy and performance.
• Leads the aluminum plate processing team in scheduling orders, expediting critical shipments, and maintaining on-time performance.
• Establishes and maintains rapid turnaround and short lead times.
• Manages routine equipment maintenance for the production cell, follows TW Corporate guidelines, and promotes a safe, efficient work environment.
• Supports Branch Management in fostering a positive employee culture, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.
• Provides work direction both written and oral to warehouse team personnel.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances.
• Addresses errors and complaints promptly.
• Operates in a supervisory role.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in metals industry helpful.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English effectively.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions.
• Mathematical skills: ability to perform basic operations in all units of measure.
• Proficiency with PC programs such as Excel and Word; ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
